The writers of Gundam SEED seem to have made a small mistake with their dates.

Gundam SEED takes place in Cosmic Era 71. Protagonists Kira and Athrun are said to be 16. This is where the problem starts.

It seems that, when writing their profiles, they simply subtracted 16 from 71, came up with 55 and listed them both as being born in C.E. 55. ( Read more... )

*Note: You may notice that the translations I give for the Japanese lines don't match the English Dub lines. I won't go in to the whole deal with this, but I will say that, considering these are meant to be English Lessons I have a bit of a problem with them using inaccurate translations.*
